2024 British Open Staff Bag
The 2024 British Open staff bag and accessories offer a regal tribute to the game's oldest major and its host venue, founded in 1878. Returning to Troon, South Ayrshire, Scotland, for the 10th time, this year's British Open is steeped in nobility. The staff bag, adorned with royal elements, celebrates centuries-old traditions.
DESIGN INSPIRATION
The Latin phrase 'Tam Arte Quam Marte,' meaning 'As Much by Skill as by Strength,' is displayed on the handle. Gold railroad tracks with the number 11 on the back of the bag celebrate one of the course's most challenging holes, bordered by tracks on the right side.
ALL HAIL THESE HALLOWED GROUNDS
The staff bag's colors of purple, gold and white symbolize the regal heritage of this year's venue, which received Royal designation in 1978 on its centenary. The gold ring around the top of the bag bears the inscription "152nd" to mark the 152nd playing of golf's oldest championship. Additionally, a gold ring at the bottom of the bag features two serpents, representing the host venue’s seal.
