TaylorMade Golf announces the launch of Hi-Toe 5, the next generation of the brand’s signature Hi-Toe wedge line and the #1 Forged Wedge in Golf™*. Joining MG5, Hi-Toe 5 wedges are built on a fully forged platform, paired with full-face saw-milled grooves and a family of five sole grinds engineered to cover the full spectrum of swing types, turf conditions, and short game demands.
Both Hi-Toe 5 and MyHi-Toe 5 wedges will be available for pre-order beginning August 13, 2026 at TaylorMadeGolf.com, with retail availability beginning September 3, 2026 at authorized retailers worldwide. Hi-Toe 5 wedges will sell for $199.99 USD and MyHi-Toe 5 wedges will be available for $249.99 USD.
A FORGED FIRST FOR THE HI-TOE FRANCHISE
Each wedge in the Hi-Toe 5 family is forged from soft carbon steel, giving golfers the world-class feel they demand on short game shots. Additionally, the forging process enables engineers to exact every aesthetic detail during production. The construction marks the completion of TaylorMade’s Forged Family, joining the brand’s MG5 wedge line to offer a fully forged short game system from gap wedge through lob, built on the same construction philosophy across both franchises.
“Hi-Toe has always been designed to be different. The expanded toe, the full-face grooves, the willingness to look different in the bag. Those are the unique features that drew players to this wedge line in the first place. The carbon steel construction delivers a softer, more responsive feel at impact, and the precision tolerances of a forged head produce the kind of consistent feedback that allows golfers to dial in distance and trajectory shot after shot. Pair that with a broad selection of grinds to fit all different swing types and playing conditions, and there’s a configuration in this lineup to help everyone play with more confidence around the green.”Matt Bovee, Senior Director of Product Creation, Irons & Wedges
FULL-FACE SAW-MILLED GROOVES

A second major design element is the full-face groove pattern. The same new saw-milled grooves in MG5 are now employed in Hi-Toe 5, and extend from heel to toe across the clubface, engaging the upper portions of the extended toe characteristic of the line. The saw-milling process allows engineers to manufacture grooves with steeper sidewalls and sharper internal radii than conventional milled grooves. The result is increased friction at impact and more spin and control.
RAW FACE AND SPIN TREAD TECHNOLOGY

To deliver spin consistently, Hi-Toe 5 features a RAW face finish in combination with proprietary Spin Tread Technology. The RAW face is engineered to increase spin in both dry and wet conditions.
Even the smallest amount of moisture, like dew on the grass in the morning, can decrease spin on wedge shots. To help retain spin in wet conditions, Spin Tread Technology, a system of laser-etched micro-channels integrated into the face, redirects moisture away from the contact point at impact, operating on the same principle as an automotive tire tread displacing water on a wet road. The combined effect is consistent ball-to-face friction across all types of playing conditions and increased spin and control.
FIVE SOLE GRIND CONFIGURATIONS

Hi-Toe 5 is offered in five sole grind configurations, each engineered for a distinct combination of swing type, turf condition, and playing style. Four configurations are available in the standard line: ATS, ATV, ATX, and ATW. The ATC grind is offered for right-handed players in both custom options and in the MyHi-Toe 5 wedge personalization program.
ATS is TaylorMade’s most popular grind and is engineered to fit a wide variety of swing types and playing styles. The four-way cambered sole is designed to deliver versatility on shots played from both open and closed face positions.
ATV is an iconic grind that combines a concave sole shape with asymmetric bounce (mid-to-high in the square position and lower in the open position) and a beveled leading edge that minimizes turf interaction prior to ball contact.
ATX is a mid-high bounce design built on three independent sole ledges working in sequence. The leading edge provides forgiveness for steeper attack angles, the center ledge stabilizes through impact, and a narrowed trailing edge facilitates a quick exit from the turf.
ATW is the widest, highest-effective-bounce sole in the family. It is engineered for maximum forgiveness, especially in soft conditions and out of bunkers, particularly for players that like to play with a square face and are looking for the most error-tolerant configuration in the lineup.
ATC is a low-bounce configuration featuring a reverse-C trailing edge and a narrower overall sole width. The design improves stability and contact quality on tight lies, particularly for players with shallow angles of attack. A narrow leading edge supports clean ball contact on firm turf.
STOCK SPECIFICATIONS

Hi-Toe 5 wedges in the standard line come in a signature Aged Copper finish. Satin Chrome is available in custom. Stock shaft options include the KBS Hi-Rev 2.0 in 115g, now offered in a new Black PVD finish, featuring an active tip section engineered to enhance feel. The graphite stock option is the UST Recoil DART 80g, which incorporates UST’s Dual Action Recoil Technology to deliver consistent energy transfer through the shaft for repeatable distance and ball flight. All Hi-Toe 5 wedges come with the SuperStroke Crossline 2.0 grip in 52g, in a Black and Copper colorway selected to align with the premium Hi-Toe 5 design system.
